Two of Colorado’s own are among six fighters who have been added to Ultimate Fighting Championship’s 25th anniversary Fight Night show on Nov. 10 at Pepsi Center.
Colorado Springs native Raquel Pennington, ranked No. 4 in the UFC’s women’s bantamweight division, will take on No. 5 Germaine de Randamie.
The 29-year-old Pennington (9-7) last fought at UFC 224 in May, losing via technical knockout to Amanda Nunes in a bantamweight title match. She was on a four-fight win streak prior to the loss.

De Randamie (7-3) has won five of her last six bouts, but hasn’t fought since February 2017 when she defeated Holly Holm to become the inaugural UFC women’s featherweight champion. She was stripped of the title four months later. This marks her return to bantamweight.
In addition, 20-year-old Maycee Barber (5-0) of Fort Collins — who won a UFC contract on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series — will take on veteran Maia Stevenson (6-5) in a strawweight fight.
Also added to the card is a strawweight bout between Ashley Yoder (5-4) and Amanda Cooper (3-4), who are both coming off of losses against rising star Mackenzie Dern.
The event marks the 25th anniversary of UFC 1, which took place Nov. 12, 1993 at Denver’s McNichols Sports Arena.
