The legal fallout over Conor McGregor’s attack on a busload of fighters in April is not yet over. Michael Chiesa was scheduled to face Anthony Pettis at UFC 223. When McGregor threw the hand dolly at the bus window, flying glass cut Chiesa's head. As a result of the injuries he sustained in the incident, his fight was pulled from the card.

According to a TMZ report, Chiesa is suing McGregor for “assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.” The lightweight fighter (soon to be welterweight) did not specify the amount he was seeking in the lawsuit.

McGregor was arrested after the incident and he was facing several charges, including two felony counts of criminal mischief. In July, McGregor offered a guilty plea to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to five days of community service and one to three days of anger-management classes. He also had to pay restitution for the attack.

Chiesa was not the only fighter injured in the attack. Ray Borg was pulled from the card as well due to glass striking him in the eye.

McGregor is slated to face UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 229. That card takes place on October 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
