**AWESOME-NESS** The man, the myth, the legend Pat Barry (@HypeOrDie) said that #ConorMcGregor DM'd #UFC champion Rose Namajunas following the bus incident (🛒>>🚌💥) trying to "apologize" ... Rose's response to Conor was simply "F*CK YOU!" #LoveIt #Beast #Denver #UFC223 https://t.co/ed4j2oafyZ
Conor McGregor's now-infamous dolly toss in the lead-up to UFC 223 did not endear him to UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas.

@briancoswald @HypeOrDie No, unfortunately recorded an hour before this quote. The great @BryanFonsecaNY can confirm. Other MMA goodies w/ Pat and Rose will be uploaded tomorrow on the full @_OutsideTheCage podcast (@Cody_Nolove in-studio as well)
McGregor, of course, went on a rampage backstage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn as he sought out Khabib Nurmagomedov. The former featherweight and lightweight champion hurled a dolly at the bus, which Namajunas was on, along with other UFC 223 fighters, and broke one of the windows, injuring several fighters.
Bleacher Report reached out to Namajunas' longtime partner, Pat Barry, to confirm Issac Feldman's Twitter report. Barry confirmed that McGregor did direct-message the champion on Instagram to offer his apologies in the wake of his shenanigans. Her response? A simple "F--k that, call Pat!"

As for why this happened today, I’m told from multiple sources with knowledge that the motive was “retaliation” after Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team confronted Artem Lobov, one of Conor McGregor’s teammates and best friends, earlier this week.
In the wake of the fracas, UFC President Dana White told reporters that she was very upset and walked back to her hotel (h/t Newsday's Ryan Gerbosi). It would be an understandable response from Namajunas, who was laser-focused on her title defense against Joanna Jedrzejczyk in the midst of the madness.
Namajunas has been outspoken since winning the title on how champions should present themselves. After winning the belt at UFC 217, Namajunas said: "I'm sick of all the hate and anger. I feel like we have a duty as fighters to try and be a better example, you know" (h/t MMAJunkie.com's Steve Marrocco and Ken Hathaway).
McGregor's wild antics nearly cost Namajunas, and the 115-pound queen did not hesitate to express herself forcefully to the worldwide superstar. Namajunas would go on to win a hard-fought decision against Jedrzejczyk.
